Kim La Franchi, Program Manager

Kim LaFranchi serves as SCF’s Program Manager, undertaking SCF’s day-to-day operational activities since January of 2011.
Additionally, Ms. La Franchi has been part of Strategic Development Solutions (SDS) a leader in impact investing, since its inception in 2001. As a Senior Associate, she works in partnership with various regional and national nonprofit organizations to help plan and implement new funding initiatives. She has secured more than $13 million in government and foundation grants, loans and contracts for SDS’ clients.
Ms. La Franchi has extensive experience working with the Los Angeles region’s nonprofit sector as a service provider in an array of settings. As a mental health therapist and case manager, she worked with children and adults in public and private school systems, the criminal justice system, mental and medical hospitals, homeless shelters, substance abuse treatment programs and community clinics serving low-income communities. She also participated in research projects focused on at-risk populations. Ms. La Franchi previously worked as an independent consultant for a low-income housing developer.
Activities
Ms. La Franchi is an avid traveler who has spent extensive time visiting developing nations and diverse cultures in Southeast and Central Asia, Africa, Mexico, Australia, Central and South America, and Europe. Her love of travel and exposure to the vast cultural diversity around the world has instilled a desire to help achieve social justice for disenfranchised communities.
