SCF has targeted its investment funds to benefit small-business loans to low-income business owners in the city of San Antonio, Texas.

Organization: ACCIÓN Texas-Louisiana is an award-winning nonprofit organization established in 1994 in San Antonio, TX. ACCIÓN TX-LA has helped entrepreneurs strengthen their businesses, stabilize and increase their incomes, create employment, and contribute to the economic revitalization of their communities. ACCIÓN TX-LA’s micro loans create employment – almost 2,200 new jobs have been created and 4,000 sustained between June 1994 and 2009. In this timeframe, it also made $93.6 million in loans which produced $173.8 million in new economic activity including earnings (payroll) of $55.2 million, state and local tax revenue of $10.1 million–these results represent a 60% social return on investment.
